    Must I remain inside the instance to receive player commendations at the end? Can they be obtained passively when you're back on your server world?

    No, you can only vote for those who are inside. So those in a hurry get no votes, worse for them :P

    But I've seen people are starting to wait for everybody to vote before leaving instance now.
