I noticed that this may help with the situation, but I would hardly call it a fix. Try it out and let everyone here know if it works for you at all:

I think I found part of our problem. Before, it didn't matter if you moved the camera by pressing L1+R-stick, or moving the R-stick+L1. Now, however, if you hold down L1 while moving, then use the R-stick to adjust the camera, you won't auto-run. Start moving the R-stick and then hold down L1 to change the camera zoom, and you'll enter auto-run. So for now, try holding L1 first while you're moving, then adjust the zoom. It's worked all but a few times for me so hopefully it will work for all of you, too =)

EDIT: I realize that my wording's a bit strange (or maybe it's just me), but basically the issue is that the order we press the L1+R-Stick combination in determines whether or not we end up in auto-run.
