Need PS3 help please! Using my account on two different PS3's?

Hello everyone,

I'd like to access my account at my boyfriend's house on his PS3. My PSN account is already established on there, but not my FF XIV account. He plays FF XIV as well.

When I tried to log in to my account on his PS3, it asked me to go through linking procedures again. I am curious if I am going to mess something up on my account or his if I do this? Does anyone know?

As long as the login to PSN is the same from one machine to another, it shouldn't mess anything up. Had to get a new PS3 (mine fried itself) and after relinking my account I logged in just fine and played. Should be okay even if the other PS3 was still working.

You should be able to use the PS3 online backup to restore the data, including all your character settings. I did when I had to switch PS3's a few weeks ago.

Edit: to clarify: if you restore your settings you don't have to re-link either.
