Rank 5's bar being reset to zero... silly?

My Free Company, Genbu Slayers of Adamantoise, worked extremely hard to make enough gil to afford housing. We were looking forward to obtaining Rank 6 almost immediately after the patch came out, but lo and behold... our Rank 5's bar reset to zero . We're not a huge FC (only about 10~ish active members), so getting to Rank 6 will take us sometime. Additionally, the plot we want will probably be bought up first.

To all the other Free Companies that are ready to purchase -- what are your thoughts? Personally I don't see the reason why they took away our hard work, and now we have to re-obtain something that was already ours.

I think the majority of people think the price of housing is silly before anything else. Not disclaiming what you are saying, but reaching Rank 6 is a small pittance compared to some of the prices we are expected to pay. My World is at the lower end of the spectrum and it's still kind of ridiculous.

Thread isn't about pricing or working to get the content.... It is ridiculous for them to wipe work we have already done just to make it take longer to get to their content, that takes effort to build up the gil to participate in anyways.

There, I put what I said in BOLD letters for you in my previous statement, since you selectively read my reply. No one ever said this thread was about pricing, but right now this thread isn't going to get much attention because 90% of the FC populous doesn't have enough money to buy the house anyway! If you logged in at Rank 8 without having to do ANY work, 90% of FC's still couldn't buy one. So who cares if they took away one level of FC progress? You are going to work it back just figuring out how to line your pockets with enough Gil to buy the house a lot of us have been looking forward to anyway.

That being said, it is ridiculous and silly of them taking away the full bar of FC progress. But idc. I can't get what I want when I reach Rank 6 yet anyway.

So that the small companies that are active can be punished, right? Like I said earlier, the plot of land I want will be filled soon (because it's, imo, the best land for its price range) simply because someone can race quicker than my group? I wouldn't be upset if they warned us ahead of time, but this was an oversight.
