Straight gil you're going to lose money. The value is drops and how lucky you are. It's really going to depending on your server and it's economic market value. On shiva the lvl 50 maps sell for 23k on auction house, does anyone understand how it could possibly be useful to buy such maps for 23k when the rewards will never get anywhere near that gil amount? Or are there special drops which are very rare but people hope on getting them?
Really wish they'd add maps to the lot table as a low % chance. You do a Boarskin map, there is a low chance you can get a Peisteskin Map as a reward; that would make these feel like actual hunts maybe. Well, that and removing "GO TO THIS ZONE" from the map, that completely ruins any sense of a hunt... >_>
Also wish the 1 Map every 18 hours per character was per Disciple of Land, instead.
They need to increase the timer on them. 4 minutes for the Morbol AoE or Chimera kite turns it in to dungeon boss fight without the dungeon. I enjoy them for the most part but I've had them time out even though we beat them on some of the AoE spammers.
Overall disappointed with the TH, so there are only 2 items worth getting, and you have a random chance of getting that random item to boot. If there wasn't a lockout on farming them, it wouldn't be so bad.
How do you gather treasure maps exactly? Like you'll just be harvesting and instead of the item you'll get a map?
I don't know about FSH, but on MNR or BTN when gathering you'll see a bottle icon and an item name that is some sort of Timeworn map. There are multiple types it could be.
Once you've gathered it, provided you've finished the Decipher quest, it will reveal the location of the treasure.
Ok, what would you do if you get a drop like a minion in a 8 ppl party? I mean, you were the owner of the map, don't you have the rigth to keep that minion instead of loot for it?
