It's driving me crazy, mostly because who the hell uses the auto-run intentionally, ever???

I use it quite a lot, actually.
Whenever I move from one side of an area to the other I am usually on auto-run, while fidgiting with menus etc.

Truthfully, I have used the auto-run as well, usually while chocobo riding. I'm just upset that this system worked fine, now it isn't. My first instinct is to crap on what is causing me stress, in this case, it being the auto-run function being mapped to the same button as my camera control.

It clearly is broken. Instead of differentiating between whether you are tapping it or holding it, it is doing both every time you use the button. It was fine in 2.0. I had it accidently run 1/100 times I used it, but that was usually of my own doing. It's all out of whack now.

I would just like them to give an option to turn it off. If you want it on still, by all means, but personally I would rather single out the L1 to have only control of one function so that this would never happen again.

Yeah this got me killed so many times in ultima today, it made me keep running into things. and if you've done the hard mode of it you know how much you have to dodge.

It's gotten to a stage where you pretty much have to avoid using the L1 button for now, but this is ridiculous.

I myself like to adjust the zoom so I can better concentrate on what it currently happening on the game and the side effect of that is, it results in me unintentionally autorunning into every AOE the game throws at me.

Doing Pharos Sirius last night as WHM, I nearly pulled Siren before the tank because of auto run. There were several other instances too where I just ran on ahead because of auto run activating, was very confused as to what changed. I don't think auto run should be removed, this feature worked fine before. However, this functionality does need to be fixed.

I would like to ask anyone who hasn't done yet: sent a bug report via the ingame support desk menu and explain the nature of the problem, so we can raise awareness to SE and get it on the 'fix list'.
