holding down the XHB you can press like L1 or R1 to cycle through enemy target.
and since 2.1 pressing L1 while cycling targets no longer causes auto-run to go.

however since 2.1... holding L1 to adjust camera distance after already rotating/tilting the camera enables auto-run. so you must press and hold L1 BEFORE rotating/tilting the camera.


this disable option will help.



but AGAIN this is only a work-a-round. it would be nice if in the future SE will actually fix this. i don't want to be completely disabling any functionality.

How about letting us map auto run to clicking the left or right stick. I never use what is on those.

Can we please get an option to disable "Lock on target" when clicking the left stick as well? I never use lock on and I've died a few times during primals due to accidentally locking on and then back peddling my way to death.

Go to Settings and change your L3/R3 to something else.

Yeah they already fixed that. Good thing too. I got sick of accidentally pressing down during an important dodge only to lock-on and eat a Weight of the Land to the face.

I don't know if anyone is aware of this, but on the PC version, there is already an auto-run feature. Basically hold the left analog stick down in a direction and, while holding, tap L1 / LB.

I feel your pain...I hate that crap!!!! Really pisses me off when my character starts running all APE SH!% when I don't want her to. I am happy about getting target lock off my stick though...that was way worse.

auto run only works for me when i want it too i.e. when im running. i have tried to activiate through the means people have said on here and i really cant so im thinking this bug i guess isnt affecting everyone. I use auto run intentionally all the time.
