What you have said is the way it suppose to be, but since 2.1 it no longer works. It is set to tap to auto-run, hold to zoom camera. The problem is, is that it no longer works like this, and the system thinks you are doing both all of the time. If you piss with the L1 button at all to zoom in/out while moving, there is a pretty good chance you will activate the auto-run. Prior to 2.1, the system worked fine (kinda, it still would activate sometimes, but now it's all the time).
