I've been to Pharos 3 times using roulette. First time we were all new to it and we got to Siren with 15 mins left. Didn't kill her because of the wipes but still came close. It was more of a learning experience. The 2nd time I had a good party and we killed her with no wipes. The 3rd time, which happened to be earlier tonight, the war and I were the only ones with relic weapons. The drg had garudas spear and maybe 3 dl. The whm had less then 3k hp, 2 dl, and some 47 gear. We died on the first boss three times and twice on the damn bird. Got to siren with 20 mins left. She dropped us once and despite all that we still kicked her ass. In my opinion the hard part is killing the sergents before they grab the healer. When she flys off the screen I tend to run to the center anyway. If she charges I try to avoid it, unlikely, but Id rather not be charmed. Not that I'm dangerous as a charmed smn. All I do is hit people with a book :P
This dungeon isn't extremely hard, the problem is it's new and most people haven't learned it yet. Every time I go to pharos, copperbell, or hauke manor I always get one person saying "I'm new" I don't have a problem with that. We were all newbs at one point but I'm mentioning it to give an example of how often it's happened to me. When you do any dungeon or boss fight for the first time your going to mess up. I also blame SE for this dungeons difficulty vs the rewards. I think the gear this place drops is not as good as the gear you should be wearing when you go to the place. We had some trouble with the adds. The relic war was dmging the boss pretty fast. I would have my add dead or near death but the drg couldn't kill his add fast enough. Wasn't a fair contest really. I had relic, two af2, 1 alleghan, and the rest was df. I don't believe you "should" have you relic in order to go here but it would certainly help :P

Pretty much this. At first the fight seemed almost impossible to me because of a variety of things. This fight becomes incredibly hard for the healer if:

    1) No one runs to the middle when she does her mass curse
    2) No one stuns Lunatic Voice, the healing debuff
    3) The dps is too slow in dealing with adds

Any of those can make this fight annoying, and it just gets impossible if you have to deal with all 3. Otherwise, if all 3 of those are taken care of this fight isn't bad.

Actually the opposite, while, silencing the healing debuff is nice, given a choice between being rushed, or healing debuff, I would take the debuff.

Siren will spam the lunatic voice anyway at around 25%, so no amount of silences can catch it.

I would say you can live through the healing debuff, you can't heal through the rush (towards the end).

You only need to esuna/leech 2 members (the tank and the cursed one) the other members can let their debuff wear off, and still finish the fight.

But absolutely do not get hit by the rush and you can probably brute force it to a win.

If you want to be cheap, bring a brd and ballad and start spamming aoe heals towards the end >50%. You can heal through the debuff with enough mp to win the fight.

Not really sure how that's the opposite of what I said since I never mentioned her rush. That being said I'd rather take the rush simply because it's less to worry about. Having to remove the debuff of 4 different people with the gcd being what it is and having to heal at the same time due to adds and tank still taking damage, I've always found it to be much more of a pain. You may not be able to stun it 100% of the time, but removing the debuff just to have her immediately put it back on really isn't a good alternative.

I also mention having to esuna 4 people because in most of the DF groups I've been in, people are always taking extra hits (such as being hit by rush) and need to have to be able to heal them as well. Sure it's not ideal, but it's DF and that's what a lot of the time we have to work with.

If no one gets rushed >50% you only have to esuna 1 person, maybe 2 (because you can be so bored, stone-skin might be enough to stop the curse)

And you can not rely on the tank to silence siren. She will spam it at 35% ish...massively without warning, and in the middle of dodging adds. There just isn't enough to go around that.

Since the rush does 90% damage, it's better to avoid it then eat it, and it's if a team can't avoid it when you are on the edge of the screen...that's sad, that's ifrit mode.
