You know what they need to fix. Players. You can instantly tell who doesn't know how to play their class and who's retarded enough to run into 4 enemies solo.
Such a dumb argument. Why can't pvp be fun and balanced from the start? Why should a person have to slog through hours on end of cheap/broken mechanics just to be able to compete without being perma cc'd? Gear progression should enhance what's already there, not provide defense against CCs where there previously was none.

Well that didn't take long...
1. This is PvP, if you can use your PvE rotation, something is wrong (opponent)
2. Likely, you are (were) a WoW player and too used to CC duration is being 8s, but this is Final Fantasy 14, it allows Sleep to works full duration on player. Not to mention, Sleep is currently the only effective CC until S/E put in Paralyze & Silence.
3. Your claim may or may not be legit, but it may have something to do with your CD management (based on your #1 as you want to maintain PvE rotation in PvP)
4. May or may not be legit claim, but it sounds like you are arguing from WoW mindset again.
5. This is your assumption.
6. I agree with this type of player bandaid, because a lot of us has tunnvel vision issue.
7. Disagree. I dont want to have WoW arena system where certain combo has advantages.
8. Not sure why you complain about this when this is on DF.

not expecting to get in my full pve rotation at all, just the difficulty level to even land a heavy thrust or to activate my disembowel is well, way too high in my opinion, half the time i land them i think i just got lucky. they added these things to increase dmg to balance melee with ranged, but yet ranged doesnt have any of these problems to worry about. ranged will claim if they stand there melee will come and slaughter them, well if blm is still doing more dmg than a melee class then who would really win in a stand off? also if a caster turns without moving does it interrupt the cast?
Why in the world are you doing heavy thrust or disembowl combo? You probably dont even use ur slow attack I bet. Learn to play ur job and there wont be a problem. Ive literally killed wars, plds, mnks, bards and blms all by myself while everyone is doing their job. You can easily kill a blm by urself as a drg in less then 7 seconds. Again learn to play ur job.not expecting to get in my full pve rotation at all, just the difficulty level to even land a heavy thrust or to activate my disembowel is well, way too high in my opinion, half the time i land them i think i just got lucky. they added these things to increase dmg to balance melee with ranged, but yet ranged doesnt have any of these problems to worry about. ranged will claim if they stand there melee will come and slaughter them, well if blm is still doing more dmg than a melee class then who would really win in a stand off? also if a caster turns without moving does it interrupt the cast?
Others MMOs use this thing called Spell Pushback, which prevents the cast bar from finishing when you receive direct damage. I was calling for it all through beta and was entirely ignored. And I knew this was going to be a problem for casters.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
