New Female Highlander Hairstyles... got the shaft

If I liked one of the old hairstyles more I would of chosen it at launch.

Well, they fixed one of the old female Taru hairstyles (the one with the little braids in the front and the bun on top), so I switched to that. I would have chosen it at launch, but the braids disappeared when wearing headgear previously.

Seems all races got the shaft with hairstyles. I don't really understand why all hairs weren't made cross-race compatible to begin with, and why female Taru still have the least amount of choices I believe (one of our options is the same hairstyle four times).

And where are my damn freckles? I was promised freckles!

I just wish they would add more options like: Skin-tone, Eye color and tail choices... They didn't give us a whole lot of options for creativity.

As for hairstyles, I never expected a copious amount to begin with.

Yoshi said that the long-term goal was for every race to have access to all the hairstyles from all races, but it would be something they would implement little by little over time. So while we only got a few now, it looks like each update we will be getting more.

Hopefully we'll get the midlander ponytail next for the Miqo'te master race.

This has been another let down for 2.1 that I found... I was psyched to be able to change up how my character looked and would've happily sunk gil into changing it every week or 2. But I only got 1 of the male Miqo cuts which made me /facepalm.... maybe by the time 3.5 rolls out I'll get a decent selection

True, especially looking at the icons on this thread ha. :P But still, you'll get new hairstyles later. If you're bored of yours now, as said before, swap to a different one. I'm sure there are much more important things for the devs to worry about~ Though I do agree I was disappointed with the lack of new ones this time around.

While patch 2.1 introduced new hairstyles for Roegadyns, we'll continue adding more hairstyles for other races and the ones added recently will be selectable for other races in the next patch.

Wait, does this mean there are no plans to unlock previously existing styles? You only say that the ones added recently will be selectable for other races.

The barber shop, in addition to PvP, was pretty much THE thing I was looking forward to with this patch. And it's been a complete let down. :\
