How to play in different PC?

I tried playing on a friend's PC and SE gave me a hard time lifting the temporary ban they put on my acct when I did that

so Im just wondering if theres any way to play on a different PC

SE Bans people for logging in on another machine? Thats fucking ridiculous. I used to go to my friends house every weekend and we would play FFXI because he had like 4 PCs.

It is a security issue. WoW also does this. If you log in with a computer using an IP address in a city different than your own, you must unlock your account. SE makes this more difficult than WoW, but its essentially the same thing. In most MMOs, having a token attached (Like SE's 'one time password') negates this, but I'm not sure if it works for FFXIV also.

I haven't played WoW for 3 years. Must have changed a lot.

A lot of MMO games just make you enter a secondary password through an on screen keyboard if you log in from a different location.

No it doesn't. Not for me anyways. I play from 2 different locations: Home and on more than one laptop with hi speed, and a laptop i travel with at work on a slower sattalite connection over an hour's drive away. Never blocked me. However i also have the one time pass word thingie token i use from ff11 which I also use for FF14 now.
