Any bets on if the servers come up on time?

I remember a 24 hour downtime on WoW back when they were upgrading servers. So I call shenanigans.

Well in this case my bad then.

In WoW maintenence is usually 7 hrs or less. It was 9 once and the forums community was really pissed off about it. 24 hrs is an unthinkable time. They better give 1 free play day.

guess you didn't play at launch then because I remember a few days that things were unplayable/ down at inital launch pretty much the first week was a complete mess with crashes and down time. If you're really going to miss your 50 cents that much, maybe we can take up a collection and mail it to you.

Even if they're up on time, they won't handle the immediate surge of logins. Error messages as far as the eye can see for at least the first 24 hours.

I hope I'm wrong though.

As a person on the East Coast... the servers are supposed to go up at 3am. They likely won't, and without some sort of estimate, I'll just give up and go to sleep. The servers will HAVE to be up after I've had my eight hours... right? RIGHT? Then again, I work freelance from home, so I'm not confined by the normal 9-5 work schedule. I feel bad for those of you that are waiting up at night just to test this patch out when you have to wake up at ~8 am the next morning..

I say 12:43 AM PST, then 3 hours 18 min later an emergency maintenance.
