I read it more as there being a limited number of instances. There probably will be new instances created, but a finite amount of these so that while there will ultimately still be a definite limit, there's a lot more than the one area to choose from.

Exactly. It's called real estate. If a lot's not available just wait, one will come available. All the pizzazz of this "new feature" will pass over, people will end up not caring about housing any more than they cared about guild housing in Guild Wars or Rift . . . and there will be PLENTY of real estate for those who still think they want to play the Sims in an MMO

I bet the claimed FC houses will be sold on the Housing Market as Used Property and their price will be extremely cheap because you're buy a used property.

BTW, if after a massively successful launch, if they are not pumping that money into enough server capacity to handle the content in their own game, and arbitrarily limiting access to content as a result, that is absolutely unacceptable.
