If you look at past Final Fantasy titles Summoner's where a combination of Black Magic and White Magic a high damage burst class with the ability to Summon High Spirits and God like beings. Originally Summoner's started off as an Evoker which is what we are now I think to create a full fledged Summoner Square should have us combine with a Black Mage

I agree with this, I use Blizzard 2 more than I thought as appropriate in dungeons and solo. More beneficial to SMN than Thunder.
