How to gear summoner...I need help

Soooooooooo no idea how to gear this class. Looking to maximize damage for PvE.

    I'm sitting on capped myth and philo and looking how to gear out. Anyone care to share with me their thoughts on how to gear out; what to start working towards etc. I'm not familiar with the 'game math' and don't have time to really invest in learning it;

kinda looking for a 'roadmap' of progression that I can start checking off the list.

    Thanks guys

Int > Crit > Det > Spell Speed

Start off with full Darklight. After that, a good BiS list to aim for would be something like this:

    Allagan Grimoire of Casting
    Summoner's Horn
    Summoner's Doublet
    Summoner's Ringbands
    Allagan Rope Belt of Casting
    Allagan Breeches of Casting
    Allagan Pants of Casting
    Hero's Necklace of Casting
    Tremor Earrings of Casting
    Hero's Bracelet of Casting
    Hero's Ring of Casting
    Vortex Ring of Casting

In terms of what order to get things in... depends on your Coils drops. If the pants drop for you early on, you can go aggressively into Body/Head, otherwise you'll be lacking for accuracy.

If you can afford to get a Vanya Robe of Casting and meld it, you could grab the Summoner's Horn earlier on. Other than that, upgrade your Relic to +1, then upgrade non +Accuracy Jewlery.

If you can farm the Extreme Primals, you might want to just get the Summoner weapon and use that in lieu of the allagan pants, and push into the Summoner's Doublet/Horn earlier on.

But basically, the Summoner roadmap is all about what +accuracy drops you can get (pants, boots, earring, ring) before you ditch +accuracy Darklight pieces. Try to stay in the 440-450 unbuffed accuracy range. Crafting jewlery and melding with accuracy can help as well. It's one of the hardest classes to transition into end game gear, because so much of you accuracy issues are tied up in the randomness of drops.

For transitional pieces, the Crimson vest, Ultima Choker, black pearl rings, titan book, and SMN gloves all have accuracy. You could also meld a HQ BPR a bit. Unless you know you can get the EX primal book relic +1 should be your first upgrade.

And then like Torin said, the upgrade path depends heavily on what drops you get. Like if I were to get the allagan pants or shoes next week I could get the SMN body, but if I don't I'll probably get the bracelet.

FWIW: This is my current summoner.

So it's a little mixed at the moment. I'll be picking up +1 relic today.

I always thought accuracy in here was useless as most people were sitting on 95% accuacy without any trouble? Is that mistaken? What benefit does accuracy give smn? I've never missed a speel or noticeably been resisted, so I'm slightly confused - thanks in advance

It is more of an issue for end game.. mainly extreme primals and binding coils. The accuracy caps ramps up very quickly in end game content, and you can going from 'being fine' in something like a level 50 dungeon, to missing half or more of every spell in a slightly higher dungeon.

You have 449-450 accuracy to be able to hit the highest defense stuff in end-game content 99.9999% of the time, or more accurately, your pet does. Your own accuracy caps out at around 435.

Because not missing is more important than hitting for 10 more per cast
