    2.1 Fate change

A FATE's difficulty will now be determined by the number of players who participated in the previous

Interesting, wonder how it willl play out. Hopefully as I interpret it thus FATES will have increased risk for the reward.

Plus i'll find it kinda amusing if it does and watching people rushing into large groups of FATE mobs to spam AE and getting insta-gibbed XD After just breezing the previous one.

more likely it means that if only 2 people are in a FATE, the number of mobs/power of the NM will decrease. however it it gets zerged it will be more or less what we have already experienced.

if you think they will suddenly be 'difficult', lol no.

Actually, it depends on the number of people who participated in the previous spawn. Meaning if it was zerged by 50 people the last time around, mobs will have insane HP and the conditions for Gold will be pretty much impossible to reach. Together with the new dungeon XP and bonus XP from using the Roulette, FATEs should drop down in popularity quite a bit.

I'll be interested in seeing how one person will now be able to solo some FATE when no one participated in the previous occurence. Not that it was I possible to do before (especially for summoners) but it was hard with those FATE compreised of a single beastie meant to be fought in a party.

Not so sure about you guys, but currently in Ton, FATE's population dropped alot. If prior to 2.1, the FATEs are at difficulty 0. Even running with only one FATE party, we have found it taking a lot longer as compared to before the patch. Sometimes, we even fail FATEs at pretty famous areas like Northern Thanalan. >.<

So, that said. I think whatever the adjustments were, FATE Farming for EXP will take a lil longer as compared to the past! I went on and tried leves and roulette, Leves EXP is pretty nice now, the only downside though, is that it takes your allowances. And duty roulette.. I tried it for like 4 runs? Only the first run with the bonus yield magnificent EXP. The rest were not really comparable to FATEs.

P.S. All this results were tested from 44 - 50. So maybe at different levels it might differ.

Yeah, you should do one run in the low level roulette for the bonus experience, then run the highest level dungeon you have access to. You'll get great experience and also upgrade your gear.

Plus, as an added bonus, you'll actually learn how to play the class and not look like a total n00b when you get into level 50 content.

    Nothin' but win!

Best part is, a single party can FATE grind easily, and without the blinding overload of spell effects, 10 second FATE completion, or zone lag that accompanied ridiculous FATE swarms before.

Definitely a win in my book.

Although I knew about this at least it explains why the Faerie Server had a level 60 Odin Encounter... yeah.. we didn't get him down.

AFAIK, Odin's mechanics still work the same way. He gains levels as he is defeated. Eventually he will become too powerful for anyone to beat until we either get i95-i100 gear, or get a level cap raise.
