Weekly? lol. Square Enix is still working on applying what we voted for in the first dev poll, how in the world are they gonna keep up with weekly polls?
If you read the thread instead of just the title you would realize it has nothing to do with "keeping up" but rather with determining how to optimize resources and time.
Again, weekly polls would allow them to see players reactions to newly implemented content so they wouldn't have to "guess" at what people want. It would also help improve the games reputation for re-launch. I listed an number of ways they would provide benefits to both players and the game.
Mew!
You can rest assured knowing that we're looking into this, and other venues, that will increase our ability to gather useful feedback from the community.
Oh a post from the mighty Malboro watch out for his preemptive post you might get hit by bad-breath!
Yeah but thanks for the update <.<
Now only if there was a way of receiving useful feedback from the dev. team instead of "We'll consider it." copy pasta'd like the game-zones![]()
I miss the polls.
Think im thinking though is we answered ALOT of questions, but they have not yet met the demands from the questions.
So more polls would just be pilling up the work. They might then rush through it to get it all done, and give us crap.
Just a thought~
PS @ Meridian HOW COME YOU HAVE A GOBLIN NEXT TO ALL YOUR POSTS >.<;; I THINKS THE GOBLINS BE WATCHING YOUZ!

They need an efficient, clear way for the player base to mass-shoot bad ideas down so they can avoid Groupthink errors http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groupthink, which is essentially just their wasted effort on fail ideas because they didn't realize they weren't going to succeed until it was already too late.
For instance:
Sony exec: Playstation Vita is a great name!
Sony exec2: I think so.
Sony exec3: Yes.
Player: You mean sony PITA?
So many limbs are gone out on by the devs that players could have easily told them wasn't going to end well, had they just asked us first. That goes for abilities, class balance, class roles, magic spells like AM, agro icons...I dunno...this entire game?
We could have told them they shouldn't release it. We could have told them a lot of things. Actually we kindof did.
And that didn't work, so clear and efficient are the key words.
So? Are you running the company? Are you an investor? You can't tell a company, especially a C.E.O/President/Etc what to do or not to do and even investors barely can these days. If Wada wanted the game out before WoW's cataclysm and to have something on their record for the rest of 2010 and early 2011 (remember their upcoming lineup for the rest of 2010 and early 2011, almost nothing), it's his decision alone. Good or bad decision aside, nothing could have fully prevented it.
Player Polls fell into this and they already explained why they didn't take all of the feedback from the beta period ("We were too focused on debugging even after the launch of the game in september.") so now it's clear they're looking even closer than before for feedback. Weekly polls however isn't efficient because sooner or later the community can abuse this to get something changed that didn't need changing just because they'll know the company would be listening.clear and efficient are the key words
