I like this idea. This would really give the developers an insight as to what matters most to the players. As many can see, not everyone is in agreement with what should be prioritized first.

Some people want features, some people want content. The arguments for these go both ways. For those that want content, they may argue "there is no use for features if there is no content to take advantage of them", while those that argue for features may argue "there is no use for content if there are no features from which to build the content upon". While to some, either one of these arguments may seem redundant as either side of fence seems to have "valid" arguments as to why they are correct, player polls would gauge which items the community would like to see more, and overall benefit the gradual improvement of this game.

Skimming through the posts, I see that some feel that this would be a bad idea because players don't know what is best for the game. I think that "what is best for the game" is what players want to see the most. The implementation of any single item will always upset some and please others. This is quite obvious and can be seen quite easily by looking at General Discussion. Personally, I think the reason why this game had such a failed launch is because they did not listen to the majority of player opinions. If the majority of the players want something that you don't, you need to realize that games don't make much money off catering to a small minority of players, majority rule(s).

I don't see how more player polls would hurt the game, if anything, it would at least let them see at a glance at which items the community feels are most important.
