I appreciate that you are willing to say that you made a mistake. Atleast you aren't defending your opinion like little stubborn kid when you realise that it was wrong, thanks.
BTW RoD would be ultra useful if there were some endgame bosses using evasion skills.
Well if it really does cause the skill to become underused, I would hope they decide to rethink their changes to the ability rather than hit gear acc to make the ability seem more viable. Speaking as a dragoon who loves their Bard teammates, I really do hope for the best to come out of this.
Going by this theory, every job in the game is support as they all have a debuff action.I believe this change affirms the Bard's role as a support job and when used in the sense I described above can provide the party with 10% more stats allocated in areas other than accuracy. If this isn't support, I don't know what is. This is a huge buff to bards (or at least the groups they are in) in end-game content.
I won't be shelfing RoD over this, but I will be using it far less. I saved it for boss bursts, large mob pulls, and when procced by Wide Volley for a free use and damage output reduction (all useful in keeping the burden from becoming too much for the healer). Now I'm just going to be using it only when procced. I really feel bad for my usual healers, they're going to have a harder time than usual, especially since we never really partied with a Warrior (due to not knowing any). I guess my support is now relegated to the songs...which I never have to use since the healer is 80% of the time a Scholar, and the other DPS is almost 90% of the time a Summoner.
I'll tell you one thing I'll never do: Gear myself in a way that I am dependent on a BRD to allow me to hit 100% of the time.
I'm not relying on someone else to keep me Accuracy capped. Even if it were 100% uptime, if they die then what?
right now it is completely useless...moslty cause it's impossible to keep it up all the time during a fight. But i feel like it will be usefull in pve soon..probably in the the next turn of coil.
I don't really care for the damage potency for RoD, really. To me, that was always a bonus. I have used Rain of Death for the effect it had. I found that RoD when with two Bards, it doesn't stack like the other effects. Again, how is -20% EVA helpful?
This just feels like I'm dealing with Pokemon with luck-based strategies.
I haven't downloaded the patch yet to try it out for myself. Right now, it just seems like an overpriced TP skill. I see myself RARELY using it.
Yeah RoD is nearly useless now its only really good if it procs for free damage. Also someone here said that they see teams grabbing two bards, I have no idea why anyone would do that having two gimpped DPS and a slower filling limit break would probably not be worth it.
