    its really sad but most people, especially the ones defending something, feel extremely offended personally if somoene has thoughts about the current game. Almost all end like "if you don't like the game then play something else". they never think about that people who dont like it are not on the forums and that the game in its current state doesnt attract a lot of people (less if p2p). Its ignorant and selfish- in the end pretty stupid - to offend people with sometimes very well written posts that way since THAT won't change anything and will not help the game development at all. why can't people undrestand that its not about THEM its about the game. And its not YOUR game. *sigh*

    I feel that an auto attack system; allows for better overall team play. Through group play especially. It's an MMO is it not? which generally implies playing with others, more then ones self. Not that all activities necessarily need to be done in huge bumbling Cluster****s but the idea explains itself. Currently the system enables one individual to take on most monsters of equal and generally much greater strength. The reason for that is because you the FFXIV PC is battling vs the FFXI Npc (Monster) who generally times his attack to a "Slower" rate then your maximum speed aka (Pushing the button many times... Mashing it? Pressing it joyfully? or to an exact science to precise muscle memory caluclation)

    I have played FFXI for many years and through my experience in that time i have greatly enjoyed it's many facets of play. From Garlaige Citadel doing Viper Bite Skillchains for 200 damage and everyone standing about mouth Agape. to Pounding sodas and waiting for Despot. Ultimately the reason people strived to better themselves was to gain an edge how can i enable myself to perform outside this constantly plateauing effect that is Auto attack? Equipment, Strategic skill use, Team work, Skill chain, Magic Burst, Job Abilities. yatta yatta. It has worked for FFXI for quite some time might i add, does that mean "Yep she's good to go, slap it in the next game" No not necessarily. However, how can an individual who resides in the domain of "Auto Attack" who has it toggled, compete with another who's Toggled Off who is attacking 38 times per minute compared to an auto attackers 24. Manual controllers would have to suffer a decreased TP Gain rate or (Much like FFXI Tp return is based off delay) Giving the manual attackers (Opt'd) to hit more times (for less damage lets say and less TP) but if they wait until the weapons natural Delay they will do their weapons "Normal" Damage and gain the same TP as their Auto Attack counter parts. This enabling everyone to be fair to one another, and lets say more "Skill" to be required to be "Manual" so that Manual players have the ability to be say 5-15% more efficient then an AA User but not sell out the AA kids so they're just soaking up Exp. Many times has something happened and the necessity of walking out of the room for an emergency, ranging from say a hurt child, dinner, a phone call has happened numerous times. i have seen mention of "Disrespectful to your party" but really? Honestly it says on start up "Don't forget your friends, Family, Work etc." They're serious, they don't want you to be mindless Zealots they want to you enjoy and play a game that you'll enjoy playing as much as they would enjoy making it (They may or may not enjoy making it but im sure they enjoy getting cash)
    Manual system i have experienced so far that i am often times pressing... 1... 2... 1... 2... 3... 2... 3... 1... 2... and that to me seems very repetitive and boring. and i understand the argument that ... "How is pressing CTRL 1 any different?" CTRL 1 requires the use of 2 buttons not 1. it's not really just i use "Tachi: Gekko" when i hit CTRL 1 yippee hurray you hit 3 and you use "Red Lotus" that's fantastic when it comes to skill use it's still very much the same. but the default attack is what people are really driving at. Currently i feel that players are able to strike the enemy more times then they are. Which gives the player the advantage and if you drag an enemy a certain distance you can hold them on their maximum range and get them to return to their spawn point 60% of the time while you use sacrifice n go back after them.
    In no way does AA Necesssarily Break anything. it's a means to an end, combat in a game like this is going to happen. My solution for AA Toggle is the only thing i can come up with. and really it's implementation only requires turning the stamina bar into a time bar... think say... Gears of War Active Reload. enable your skill at X point and you'll get your regular damage persay, or if you activate your attack late, the next attack turn "X" point will be sooner rather then later, and it could carry over a damage modifier by say 1.15 giving the guy who "Holds his punchs" to be a more aggressive or heavy hitter.
    But hell i don't even know what im talking about anymore. Post Number 1. Feed on it. Flame it. It's all good it's only opinion
