everything u said is bs i do play the game and have played xi and the battle system in this is not a good one so if in your eyes exp gives u the right to have a opinion then i can give mine. FF fans have a right to say what they do and dont like rather you played for a day or since the game came out ppl know what they do and dont like and thats what these forums allow ppl to do voice thoes opinions, so shove that bs back where it came. I played xi for years and stalked this game from day one and if its wrong its just wrong, if u think nothing is wrong with the game when its back up play it as is and enjoy it as much as you can because even SE knows as it is now isnt good enough buddy so dont bash others for knowing that as well.... auto attack would be a great benefit to this game, time will tell if SE takes good notes and are actually listening.

You have to SPAM if you want to do the most damage possible within a time limit. This is why it's an issue. It isn't wise to emphasize the most inferior action in the game to be be extremely concentrated on and the most effective path to dealing the most damage possible.

Also the game is so easy that it doesn't matter how you kill a mob, making it the easiest path as well. Thus what is the advantage to killing it another way?

Just no, you don't have to spam, you're much more useful to the party if you don't do it; I already explained myself too many times here.
The advantage? uhm... FUN? Everyone know there's almost no endgame here, no mid rank gear or any form of goal, the real question is "why do everyone here want to reach rank 50 as soon as possible and in the most boring way when no1 is forcing them to spam?" o.O

Is it really that hard to understand? How have you even thought that a battle system could be designed around spamming attack? but most of all why at rank 12 you think you have enough knowledge to say something?

How long do you think SE will keep this running if ALOT more people don't join?

You don't like it from the roots? give up playing, there are tons of mmos you'll enjoy much better.

You don't have to play too far into the game to see how the battle system works. SE is addressing this issue because they agree with the OP. Also, tell enough people to GTFO and you wont have a FFXIV to play yourself.

Totally false, this is not a challenge on who's the best player or who's got the best idea, we are all here to make this game better.
My poin is not I'm rank 50, I'm better then you, you're ideas don't count anything but rather I've played more then you, so I came to understand many things and if I say that something has potential maybe you should give it a chance
I strongly believe that in order to make constructive criticism you have to know something deeply, especially for this game since there are a lot of hidden features and tactics that you clearely can't know at rank12. Saying this I don't mean that you don't get to say your ideas, actually I read a lot of good suggestions from low ranked people here, but I don't think you should say that something should be scrapped.

It takes like a couple of hours to get to rank 20 now, do you really believe you're gonna play that same way even at rank 50?
And SE isn't addressing it, it's "taking it into consideration"... you know it doesn't mean we'll have auto attack for sure, right?
IMHO It's even too early to discuss it since they're gonna change radically the battle system, so maybe once they do it an auto attack feature will fit the gameplay, right now it doesn't.

Wow this thread is so going off topic, but I'm in favor of bringing in an auto attack system if it meant we would have flashy weapon skills SCs again.

Current system works and works well but it is in fact boring and brain numbing.
