    It's you'll from FFXI that whined to get what you wanted. All I"m saying is congratulations, you've most likely ruined what could have been a very successful game.

    The Developers know what they are doing that's why they decided to implement a type of attack like this.

    Anyone even stop to consider why they would add stuff like battle without auto-attack, market wards or action based SP?

    Of course not, because most of you lack something called imagination.
    They did it for us. They did it because in FFXI it's what we asked for.

    The economy was bad, they realized the AH was the root cause and they're working on fixing that.
    Are you going to let them? of course not, you'll just complain till you get an AH. You'll do this because you don't understand what you're fighting for, you'll are just fighting blind.


    TP building was considered very boring by some because of the extended wait times. this also caused classes to feel the same. Can you really tell the melee classes appart in FFXI? barely. Yeah some will build TP qiucker, some will do more damage, but in reality it's all about waiting those few attacks to use a TP skill, how absolutely pointless, why not just make every attack important and allow us full control.
    I'll tell you. Because people that have no idea what the real problems are will decide in there heads and keep whining untill they get what they want. (that's you FFXI....)



    Last but definatly not least, SP. Yes there was a problem with the first SP system, but does that condem all action based SP?
    Of course it does.... because you'll have voices, and though you don't have a clue what you're talking about you have the right to complain.
    You think they just invented this to screw with us? they didn't, they did so because they understand math and that understanding leads them to the realization that Action based SP is the only way to fully balance SP.

    So yeah I may be upset but I'm not whining.
    I'm upset because I feel like I'm the only one that's even given consideration to the future and what these things will do to the game, but because I'm only one voice no one will here me.

    I'm not going to ruin my life for some flipping video game though. I don't need to try and battle with a bunch of blind fools. GL, have fun ruining your game.

    And yes if you keep it up it seems like they will make this an FFXI-2, so keep up the good work.

    And do me a favour, try some change in your life once in a while, it'll make you feel alive again....

    But as you can imagine, their tantrum isn't going to help their cause either.

    Guys, I was one of the bigger supporters of an active attack, but let's just chill out for a sec and see what's coming down the pipe. If it's crap, it's crap. If it ain't, well hurray.

    We'll just have to wait until we get to see some substantial news.

    My advice is to make the auto-attack a mappable function for any 0-cost skill of the class. For example, Lancer has Light Thrust, Heavy Thrust, Pierce and Full Thrust that do not cost any Action Points to map to your hotbar. Why not make those abilities "auto-attack" toggle-able? Add a switch in the Configuration menu that lets you select "Set Slot 1 as Auto-Attack Toggle", that allows players who want to have Auto-Attack, to turn it on; those who would not want auto-attack, would turn that off.

    That way, if you wanted to use Full Thrust as an auto-attack, all you'd have to do is map it to the auto-attack slot in your hotkey bar when the feature is enabled. This is a very simple solution to a complex and controversial problem.

    It's ok to be upset Esar, But don't take it out on other peoples opinions.

    THe devs didn't just bend to our will. They have had an auto attack system in the works for a while. What happens is they have an in house test build, they probably had many versions of battle. They asked their testers what did you find more fun? Obviously the answer was AA.
    They then compiled the poll results, they read the feedback on the forums. And came the conclusion, the players don't like the current battle system (polls) they are willing to accept change (polls) AA is a heavily debated topic (forum) our testing team thinks AA is a better system for the game. AA is in.
    Changes like this are the type of changes that will bring people back to the game.
    If you don't like it fine, don't get angry at us. SE lost 290k players in the first few months i'm sure they won't miss a few more.

    I like what he had to say, makes me feel good about the outlook for this game. Bringing auto-attack back, but it won't be a carbon copy of FFXI.
