OP, has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, that there are people out there who enjoy different aspects of the game than you? What if I told you that there are people who play this game that aren't too interested in PvP and raiding and whatnot, but instead play it for the lore and the social aspects of the game? It might be impossible for you to believe, but there are people who don't care for having the best gear or getting world firsts, and maybe they really wanted to purchase a house and make it all nice and all that jazz, so they could invite friends and other people to hang out in their pimped-out home.

You ever thought about that?

While what you say has to have the MOST condescending tone I have EVER heard in my life, what You don't realize is that the raging is unnecessary. We haven't had housing for three months and NOW is when people wanna complain about being homeless. Just ridiculous considering everything we are getting along with the housing system.

A lot of people were really looking forward to housing since the game launched, and when they get slapped in the face by 625,000,000 gil I think it's understandable to see a lot of complaints about it.

Not to mention that a lot of the other content that OP is defending is also a big slap in the face.

--Let's nerf jobs that don't need to be nerfed and buff the one that was already damage leader.

--Let's add a 24-man instance, but force you to deal with 16 random people if you don't manage to get get the whole FC to pop together.

--Let's add dailies that take longer and reward you far less than content already in the game. But this is okay because you can buy MINIONS, because this is really Minion Fantasy XIV.

--Let's rehash the same primal battles that were already in the game since release (and 1.0 in the case of Garuda and Ifrit!), but make them even more rage-inducing for people that don't live close to the server.

OP, I get that you're really excited about this update, but housing is NOT the only reason people are upset. It seems to be one of the biggest reasons, but it was one of many things that we were misled about over the past several months. There's really no reason for you to keep making threads about this that contribute absolutely nothing new to the discussion on every other housing thread already on this forum.

The frequency with which player position is updated during trials and PvP has been increased.
* Monitor server stress will be closely monitored before these adjustments are applied to other duties.

I think people keep forgetting that detail...

If you're talking about Rain of Death, that was not a nerf to the BRD, it was more towards Paladins than anything if you take the time to analyze the change

They've already said that in the next patch, you can enter in fully made groups, so have some patience.

I had no idea you had already had the chance to test out the dailies considering you know how long it will take. And btw, rewards are not just minions, its gil, tomestones, and other goodies!

I'm sorry you have horrible lag spikes, but if it was as bad as you say, than no one would have relics unless they live in Canada... I sure don't. Also, why not try the extremes before dissing on them, cause in 1.0, that stuff was cray cray!

If you think RoD is the only nerf to jobs, you need to read the patch notes again. SMN is losing thunder. That's a 10% nerf right there. Virus immunity will change the strategy people use for various encounters in coil. 10% damage drop on BfB and IR lowers damage output a decent bit for BRD. WHM holy down to 200 potency and medica2 half potency but twice duration (meaning burst effectiveness is lost in favor of sustained healing, but a lot of people think this was a stupid idea -- I personally feel it was a bandaid to avoid fixing healing agro issues).

I'm aware that CT will supposedly be fixed on a later patch, but they hyped something up and released an incomplete version. Something they previously said was already near completion when the game was released. Hence why I said they were MISLEADING.

Various times over the last month, Yoshida has said dailies would take about an hour. And this morning he said you'd get about 4500-5000 gil from 6 beast tribe dailies. You also get like 24 myth from it. I can run WP in 10-15 minutes depending on group and pull 30 myth and 3k gil (chests supposedly will drop gil now too? So maybe more gil). And yeah, I'm aware there's a few 'other goodies', but it's all cosmetic.

I don't usually have lag spikes, but a lot of people have routing issues from their ISP to the game's server and there's still no solution in sight. And I mean thousands of players. Not to mention anyone living in Australia trying to play on an NA/EU server, and a big chunk of EU players.

Try again, please. I'm not trying to be rude to you, so please don't be rude in reply. I'm just trying to make you understand why people are frustrated with this patch and realize that it's not JUST because of housing. Housing is definitely getting the most attention on these fora, but it's not the only thing concerning players.
