    Patch Downloading

    Hi,

    I am just wondering if there is a way to download the patch directly, without using the FF14 client. The reason is that when I bought the game originally, i could not patch it. For some reason, the client just freezes at certain point and stop downloading. Since the progress is not saved, I lose all the downloaded files. In order to play the game i had to download all the files manually.

    I think I am experiencing the same problem right now.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Having the same problem. Everytime I came back to check, the auto-download would be stuck somewhere and thus lose all the progress. Hope to see an alternative way to patch.

    You don't lose all progress. The launcher does resume. It just does not resume in the middle of a file.

    Same here. I've got 3 PSN disconnection after downloading 1GB or more and it had to reload that piece of data all over again.

    We lose all progress in one single patch. There are more of them. Since one is about 1.4GB to redo it over and over is just a pain with a slow connection. Not to mention all monthly traffic quota wasted for the unlucky ones like me, using a 3G plan.

    This is very disappointing. Pause/resume downloads is for sure not a new technology.

    I'd lose connection once in a while for some reason and it continued where it left off when I restarted it, so are you sure it's not progressing from where it stopped?

    I think using torrents to update is against the rules so posting a link to a torrent or uploading one would probably get you banned, they had this problem with 1.0-1.23b, for many the only solution was to break the rules just to be able to update. Mine actually works this time around, so I'm not touching torrents with a 10 foot pole, not giving them reasons to send a ban my way.
