    Warrior PvP

    Before you read further, this is pre-patch speculation so please take it with grain of salt (or a bag).

    So why Play Warrior in PvP? Warrior is a very flashy melee class, that has the durability of a tank, burst potential of a DPS, and self healing. All three traits are strong in pvp situation.

    Here is a build that I come up with that I thought would not only be satisfying to play but also viable in pvp.

    Stat Allocation: 30 STR

    Initial Gear:
    Assuming that pve gear is allowed in pvp

    Single Target Burst Rotation:

    HS -> Miam ->(Zerk) SP -> HS ->(IR) Miam -> (Strength Pot) SE -> (Holmgang) IB -> (Infuriate) IB ->(Defiance off)(Mercy Stroke)

    Alternatively for more potency

    HS -> Miam ->(Zerk) SE -> HS ->(IR) SS -> (Strength Pot) BB -> (Holmgang) IB -> (Infuriate) IB ->(Defiance off)(Mercy Stroke)

    Both rotation hinges on your last 2 skill landing in succession giving you 800 potency damage in 1 GCDs, while under the effect of 50% (zerk) + 20% (Miam) + ~10% (SE) damage multiplier and 20% Crit increase (IR+Wrath). This is why I choose to to holmgang before both IBs. Should all three abilities crit you can achieve >3k unmitigated damage (if not more). which means outside of a tank you will 75-0 anyone. If somehow they survive, SE also puts on a 50% healing debuff which means your damage will mostly likely stick.

    This is just potentially one way to play the warrior in PVP, I'm sure once we reach i90 PVP gear there will be more way to play warrior (AoE burst rotation with Mythril Tempest -> 2x Steel Cyclone)

    Feel free to share your thoughts on ways to break PVP warrior.

    Nice read. Would it be wise to maybe go MRD stance? I wonder what some of the more informed tank minds think about that. Especially if it's at set up group and you know the heals will be coming in.

    Regardless, looks like Haymaker will finally work it's way into my rotation

    Patch info is starting to become available. Direwolf gear beats all for PvP, hands down. Morale + materia that works only in PvP (and other stats equivalent to i90).

    No clue what it will take to get that high of rank though.

    Don't forgot that warrior's get a 50% reduced healing debuff they can apply to targets.

    Warrior's are REALLY going to be wanted for PvP I think.

    IB self heal was definitely changed up by SE with PvP in mind. With that being said the job will still probably be most one of the most wanted/feared in the Wolves' Den.... would like to see if Thrill of Battle/Thrill of War can stack or not....

    If I read it right, you have to go with PvP gears or your phisical/magial defense stats will be zero in Lv50 PvP. There are only 3 sets of PvP gears and the lv70/90 request PvP points so everyone will just looks the same in lv50 PvP (except dye of course).

    And I think this also make the initial PvP game fair otherwise people without full ilv90 wont stand a chance against those 8.5k HP WAR

    Marauder seems to be more effective for PvP compared to Warrior. With the ability to access skills like Haymaker, Invigorate, Straight Shot, Blood for Blood, Raging Strikes and Keen Edge. If the old 300% Inner Beast was still available then probably I'd consider Warrior, but as of now you'd wouldn't want to be in Defiance all the time, Steel Cyclone is useless, Unchained is ok and Inner Beast is just a 20% burst control.

    However, it would seem like this Morale thing if it works as it is and is distributed fairly among all class. There will be some problem handling classes like SMN, BLM cause they going to have the same defensive power whilst their damage don't take a hit at all. BRD is exclusive because as patch note states their damage is based on distance from target.
