Any way to get this goin' faster?

Hey everyone, recent fisher and been playing a decent amount of time so far. My physical and magical classes level extremely fast, but fishing is abysmally slow. I only get about 150 SP per cast (I'm r10 in r10 optimal water) which is not bad, but the time it takes to get that 150 SP, I could've killed 5-7 monsters that would've given the same SP on a physical class.

Is there a trick? When I have leves available, the leveling rate is excellent! It's very comfortable. Unfortunately, the leves share a cooldown with my physical ones, which basically assures I'll never be able to do any. (Maybe they should share crafting leve cooldowns?)

Not really, try the next grade up if you can, but that's the normal rate. I usually grab 2 fishing leves every reset.

Fishing is the slowest of the gathering classes. My advice is ease your way to 14, grab spoon lures and fish -4 at Bloodshore ^^

Fishing should be the easiest job to grind... Since R1 you can fish in Grade 10 Points (Try to find your own favorate point ^^), and get 300sp per bite till R50. Hourly SP should be 16k+ and it'll take around 100-120 hours to hit the cap. That's why you see so many R50 Fishers, much more than capped Miners or Botanist who currently don't have gathering points over Grade 5.
