error [11006][20641][20643] (again)

OK I just gotten past the launch screen and I gotten the error three times. I know everything is good on my end. This is getting rather old.

Also there's a torrent running with the updated US version. It's probably forbidden so I'm not linking it directly here.

That we have to find solutions on our own and resort to workarounds like that (as a european player half my guild already has to pay for a VPN to play this game in raid) is ridiculous if you want my opinion.

like i said in another thread that work around doesn't work. torrenting/moochin off of friends has been the only workable solution for me. they really need to address this.

It worked a little better but I still got the error at the very end of the download (rather than after the first 250mb).

So.. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Now I'm getting the error while trying to install the game itself. :/ Tried the stuff suggested in the reddit post. No luck.

I would just like to chime in to this thread. I don't know how, but I got I'm finally in.

I tried just about all of the fixes recommended by everyone in here to no avail. Finally, after a long day of trying, the download went all the way through (instead of stopping at ~1GB, like most people here).

I don't know how it happened, but it seems rather random that it finally pulled through. One small detail to note though:

Every other time that it failed, my download speed of the patch was bizarrely, irrationally high (I'm talking in the neighborhood 7mb/s).

I knew it finally worked when the download maintained a reasonable rate for ~.20mb/s. I've had this problem every single time I've installed/updated this game.

I wish I could be of more help, but the way it finally worked really was random. One thing I can say I did right before it worked was I deleted the ffxiv patch folder, but then again I had done that just about every other time I tried.

I can't wait for the next update/nightmare.
