The elder staff is pretty much a relic with a different set of stats,relic is spellspeed spec,this one is more crit specced with more determinaiton also.May be bis for those blms building on crit.

There's everything so far and considering how 1 Magic Damage is significantly better than 1 Intel, and 1 Intel is roughly 7.1 Det it looks like Allagan combo > Elder Staff > Relic +1 (If we can get access to the Allagan bucker, that is). Not to mention with Acc from both Allagan pieces, we can get rid of some Acc from Myth and maybe swap that out for some other Allagan piece if it happens to be BiS.

I hate it that it's a 95/90 combo. Look at the allagan grimoire of casting.

While it's not a big difference still a difference of 1 vitality and 1 intelligence. Not comparing sub stats but if allagan scepter and ancient buckler would have crit, the total amount would be 38 crit and not 39 like the book. Allagan scepter looks quite unspectacular even While it's not a big difference it's still there. Well at least our survivability is better than summoners with the shield?

It is BS IMHO, but they did not touch Tank shield so we are not the only one whom are being gimped. I will start crying about it when the tanks gets their shield up to ilvl95.

I know it is BiS .I have been saying that ever since the patch note were up. Just sucks that they think the stupid block on the shield are worth a damn to a BLM. Honestly, we don't need survivability, we need 4.2k health for Twintania (counting food and party buff), Acc cap with food, and absolute max dmg. Any BLM who thinks the block on the shield are worth 0.1 INT need to seriously l2p.

If you already have Allagan Sceptre, I think you use the Darksteel buckler until u get the Ancient Buckler... I already have one penta-melded.

The staff is beautiful. I've been waiting to spend my amass of mytho tomes to see if I would need the +1 staff, but with the release of this beauty it's all going towards gear.

Well with the allagan scepter now having 71 Weapon damage I think dark steel shield can be used as a replacement for ancient buckler.
