Well maybe the small plots are made for Lalafel Free Companies.

My main issue is that I feel the prices, being based off the server's economies, are not being based on Legitimate Gil Obtained. They are taking into account all the illicit gil that has been obtained on the servers, and essentially punish the people who did not exploit the economy in one way or another.
Quoted for emphasis.Housing is major focus of 2.1. So big they devoted an entire Live Letter to it. This is not some fluff.
They put a lot of work and development time into this, spent a lot of time building up peoples expectations only to lock most of us out behind a giant gil-wall. We care so much because for those of us who don't enjoy running the same dungeons over and over again to get the leetest gear this was the content that we've been most excited for, and now it might as well not exist.

Anybody need room mates?! comon guys lets all be roomies! itll be like college! Ill bring the ramen noodles....
The atmos gil method? I did it, spent the gil in 1.0 on materia and got Darklight in ARR for my efforts. That's a single set of Darklight. What's your point? Not everyone from 1.0 is rich.I see a few posts pittying legacy servers, no need...

lots of people used this method to max out gil in 1.X
That's my only complaint, the size of the small one, it's really meant for 1-3 people lol All these people whining and complaining about the price of housing need to remember, its a FC one, where most if not all should pull their funds together for it, not to mention all the buffs they said a FC house will give (I remember a while back they said a permanent 25% exp buff and things), which I'm sure individual housing (if it comes) won't give those so theres a chance they won't be as pricey.
That's the problem with people these days, they don't want / know how to work for things so instead they whine about it. I personally blame WoW and all the clones of it, dumbing down gamers by making everything easy / no grind / work for things. Yes I know it's just housing, but think about rl and buying a house, does whining and complaining solve anything? No, you work for it and save up. I've never seen so much complaining about stuff on a mmo before and I've been playing them since 01ish.
Kind of wish they had took the medium one and called it "small" for FCs

This is absolutely the problem. My wallet needs to compete with the Gil trains of 1.00 the Gil trains Square ignored for over two years.
It's never going to happen. I was on Sargatanas from 2010. I know how many Bots have been there, uncontrolled for years. I was able to make around 10 million Gil in 1.00 by accident. I wasn't even trying. They had concerted efforts, day in, day out. It's in the hundreds of billions, even after the conversions. If that's the template they used for housing prices, they might as well have just not had FC housing at all.
Kinda sad really... we have 200/300 active members. Maybe I could pack them all in and use that as the base for our FC Recruitment Contest Video
