    A dream, new content. Factions.

So last night I had a dream. Which gave me an insight in possible new content.

Each beast tribe has a faction. You join said faction and perform campaign missions against other tribes via fates and quest-leves. Granting you points from that faction aka "Sylph leaves" you trade them in for exclusives like vanity sylph armor, mounts and minions. housing and so on.

Note: While I can see that the dailies are something similar, the difference is that there isn't a daily cap of quests. But it's time based on leves and fates.

I'm doubtful they'll do something like that, generally Beast Tribes aren't at war with each other. I'm almost positive Beastmen Dailies will tie in with Free Company Primal Summoning though. Way back they said after defeating the Primal, we'd have to do something to charge it up before we can use it. The Beast Tribes we'll be dealing with seem like a splinter group; certainly with the Sylphs. Untempered by their Primal, we'll probably eventually work out a way to summon a Primal without being corrupted by them with the help of the Tribes. Defeat Ifrit, go to the friendly Amalj'aa, do some stuff, get to summon Ifrit safely.

Yes I do recall that, but while I understand that they generally arn't at war. There is nothing to say they wouldn't be. ^^

Technically the beast tribes are actually hostile towards each other, because they don't share the devotion towards their particular Primal (read: god), and hence squabble over the supply of crystals required to summon said Primals. 1.0 clearly showed the amalj'aa and Ixal actually attacking each other in a story quest (the player had to step in and break up the fight). Not to mention ARR also showed the Ixal taking amalj'aa and kobold prisoners, presumably to be tempered by Garuda. So yeah, the beast tribes are essentially hostile towards anyone and anything.

Having said that though, as has been stated such a system of actual alliance with the beastmen really doesn't fit into FFXIV's storyline, where the three cities are generally suspicious of them, if not outright holding them in contempt, so having a gameplay system involving assisting them further than the daily quests being introduced in 2.1, probably wouldn't work.
