Why the hate?

if you work, have families, college/university leaves a person maybe a few hours a day if you are even able to play daily like a lucky few are able to do. You wouldn't want to just log in to farm for to support just a free company house you want to run instances dungeons, level other jobs, other crafts etc. It should not lock you into gil grinding just to help your fc get a respectable house. The grind days of ffxi are over. Leveling a job to 50 getting gear and everything is quite easy to do. So the free company housing shouldn't be so far out of reach people can't enjoy it. In this morning's letter Yoshi even stated they don't really want people to have good houses for 3 months..... Then why tease us with it. They were supposed to initially release them on official release 4 months ago then pushed back to 2.1 patch now stating you don't really want FC's have a good house for 3 more months ... So disappointing.

MMORPGs are not college/family/work friendly and they never truly will be. There are things that cater to everyone, but everything is not for everyone. The genre itself is based upon having the time to do things (more time than traditional console-esque games). This shouldn't even be something up for argument. That's like saying Baseball doesn't have enough dribbling of the ball, so how are people that can't throw or hit supposed to play? You're expecting change to the foundation of the game itself... not gonna happen.

People hate because they like to and if we don't say anything SE won't change anything. SE has buffed WAR, nerfed bard, are implementing the vote to kick feature, buffed dungeon XP, and more because of (at least partially) forum complaints.

Basically hate about the game and players in the game is found on any official game forum site. There's some positive too, just much less of it. There really is more hate than usual on the forums now too because of things in 2.1 like high housing prices, loot lockouts, and job nerfs. So all this hate you see shouldn't be surprising.

There's "hate" so that condescending pricks would have a platform to make snotty remarks on, among other things Joke aside, people are dissatisfied and often dissatisfaction is mistaken for hate by others who are just as trigger happy to make "lolumad?" type of comments, easily labelling everyone as a hater (yes, even the ones who actually like to discuss any given topic in a civil manner). Of course, there's the legit haters/whiners but they're the same as the condescending pricks. None the better, none the worse.

Opposing opinions to what developers produce = hate, and nothing else but hate. Or at least that seems to be the norm with those "not bothered"

I think that Housing is vanity and the way it's made, it will not be for everyone. I see people saying that they have jobs, kids and can't farm all day long. I too have, but I think a MMO should be rewarding for people that are more into it.

Well then if that's the case why only 2k gil to go to the barber shop? Why not 200k?! or 2 Mil?!
Vanity Slots, I think you should have to complete ALL Hardmode content, ah hell lets add Extreme Primals in there too, to be able to access it as well...

Vanity Features should not be Hardcore content when things like CT, Coil, & Relic are easier then buying a house.

Vanity in the way that it doesn't make you stronger in a boss fight. It's still useful and good to own but you don't need it to be a top player.

I mean, it's my first time on the forums and all I see is people whining about changes and Housing price. Trust me, features in this game are very nice and for housing.. Ask it to be free while you're at it! It should be a great achievement for a FC, it's a vanity feature. SE cannot comply to all your demands. If your ideas are better than theirs, send your CV!

So in ur opinion, SE keep what they promiss, and they have full Control over the game atm?

They have little controll over the game atm, planned while drunk, and made in the dark, atleat thats how it looks like atm.

Well honestly SE has screwed everyone on this housing situation. We have been saving in FC thinking maybe 5mil would do it, now we need at least 20mil for a small crap house.
