{Yes, Please}
Or even better i have an idea.
Let's all pay a monthly fee for a game where we are put on the hamster wheel...
*let's keep running i think we are getting closer to the carrot!!!*

I think at the end of the day, this is the real underlying reason for why everyone is mad. It's natural for an ongoing MMO to want to draw out its customers paying subscription fees for as long as it can... but usually it isn't this blatantly obvious. All these limits and delays in the game are shattering the illusion. Now it's clear that SE wants you to plunk down at least 3 more months of money to them before you have a hope of housing.
As some others have stated, it would've been smarter to make the land more affordable and to instead make the housing itself and the furniture more of a focus for gil sinks. That way you'd actually have a market for people making/buying furnishings and/or buildsing structures because so many more people would actually have housing to put them in.

"Well, it's no Vana'diel, but it'll have to do..."
I do agree that housing should be a challange and all, no doubt.I am glad to see your finally not listening to all the whiners out there and made Housing a challenge and a coordinated effort between members of an FC I Totally agree with the cost of housing and how it scales down over time.
Finally a reason to have some gil and a challenge/status element in the game. Keep it coming.
What i find kinda funny is that Dev team/yoshi said it Clear what housing would be like and how much effort it would be, and its not even Close. So People have been preparing for this content, and got smacked in the face. Was a motivation factor for many to keep playing during the "boring" period up toward patch 2.1, and i think it was a motivation killer to see the patch note for some. So i can see both side of this issue.
Its like CT, u can enter CT if ur name ends whit an Q, rest of u have to wait until we have controll of the gil floating ingame/server status.
Using content that is so wanted, and ppl have been waiting for so long, to get controll over the gilflow ingam, is lazy and simple, and SE should know better.

Hum... where is the challenge?
Where is the challenge to spend 10 time more money than the others for same thing?
Where is the challenge to farm nobrain?

your not spending 10 times more than others unless your looking at other servers which is irrelevant since its based of the wealth your own server has. and if your members farm gil and donate to the cause it isn't an endless farm for gil you just have to do your part instead of idling in Rev toll all day.
You just explained how because you have the time it is LESS challenging for you yet here you are claiming this is great content because it is so challenging for you. I bet your not willing to play less and try to accomplish the same money making feat to make it more challenging for yourself. You arent actually looking for a challenge but something exclusive based on the fact that you have a surplus of an external resources (time) compared to the majority of the player base and want to delude yourself into thinking its some sort of "skill".Time does equate to challenge. Since you have less time than me its more of a challenge to get what your after. if you want more stuff in the game faster then you have to decide if you want to play more or not. but it is a challenge for you if it wasn't ppl wouldn't be so butthurt over the prices.

honestly at the end of the day I cud care less about housing ill do my part for the fc and while I do have quite a bit of time to play it is not all spent farming. I may take part of a day to farm and craft what I want to sell for the week and that's that back to wp farm coil helping fc members etc. so in reality im not putting in as much time to get my money as u think. You just explained how because you have the time its LESS challenging for you yet here you are claiming this is great content because it is so challenging for you. Everyone seems to think u have to farm 7 days a week to make money this is not the case you can make significant money a week by doing it one day out the week or a cpl hours a day throughout the week.
Please, tell me why anyone would want the journey of the content to happen before you've even experienced the content. The way the system is set up now, grinding gil is more important than actually participating in building up and decorating a house, but that's not how it should be. The challenge should come from working together to perfect one's house, not getting a house.
This is likely because their housing system is horrendously barebones compared to other equivalent systems out there, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that they want to distract everyone with a gil grind as a substitute for a feature with actual depth and breadth.

It's not a challenge and it's not meant to be one. It's meant to draw out content and to have a goal for people to keep playing. But to do this with something they have been going on and on and on about over the months that only the bare minimum of players will have access to? Not smart. Guarantee you the mini-patch in January will nerf pricesI am glad to see your finally not listening to all the whiners out there and made Housing a challenge and a coordinated effort between members of an FC I Totally agree with the cost of housing and how it scales down over time.
