Let me see, spend months and months getting those equipment and then new patch came (for many MMOs out there) and basically everything got reset. It looks more "mindless farming" than farming for the house which at least you know it won't got "gear reset". Make sense to you?

I can't tell if he's trolling or just deluded, though I'm leaning towards the former. There's no 'challenge' involved in spending millions of gil, just a level of exclusivity which locks out the majority of players from enjoying the new content. Perhaps this is intentional to normalize economies across servers or lure out gil buyers, but it's not going to be a very popular or wise decision to keep it this way long term.

Sounds to me like a bit of both.I can't tell if he's trolling or just deluded, though I'm leaning towards the former. If this was for a certain item/armor/weapon set, sure then i will run around like a headless chicken for 3 months to farm for it.
But for housing? which EVERY FC should kind of be able to afford?!
I...um..
I....just.....
I lol'd...

Why is this such a controversy?
Fact: it is NOT a grind anyway. It is so stupidly easy to make money in this game it's not even funny. Even the smallest FC - even the "husband/wife" only FCs, will have housing within the first week, and you don;t even have to work for it.
I support the OP in thanking Yoshi for adding housing, but I also disagree that it is in ANY way a challenge or even a small workout. If you don't have the Gil already - then it's because you were sitting for the past few months on the market buying your way through levels instead of actually playing the game.
I completely agree. I wish he would have just thanked the Devs . . . I would have posted my thank you right below his. Instead, the topic became a debate over grind vs. challenge (which I replied to also . . . guilty!)You see, you ARE trolling. You want to know why?
Because you couldn't just simply thank the developers, without also insulting and baiting the critics. This isn't about thanking YoshiP. This wasn't written for his benefit. It was written for yours, and those who agree. That's the problem with the lot of you people defending this patch. None of you can seem to express your joy with this thing, without also insulting those who don't. Because its less about the game, and more about reaffirming your game choice.
The people who take issue with this patch only started off hating the patch itself. We don't need to mention the people who disagree with our criticism, and didn't until you fankids started pulling all the cliche BS out, entitlement, whining/crying accusations, etc.

I wouldn't phrase it like OP but I agree that the prices are just fine. Prices are going down over time. You don't need the house now, you want it now, and when you can finally afford it, it will be available. The small FCs that are like husband/wife or BF/GF and friends that made an FC primarily to get a house should rethink about what game they are playing.....might wanna switch to Sims or something.
Enjoying a game with close friends suddenly means they should be playing the sims? Also the price will only ever go down to 50% of it's current value.I wouldn't phrase it like OP but I agree that the prices are just fine. Prices are going down over time.
