SSD helps a ton, but it's still playable without one in the PS3. I've had no trouble so far, as long as I'm not dealing with the crap connection those of us in the LA area suffer through most of the time.

Yeah the focus target and dive bombs are the only thing holding ps3 players back in that fight. Now we can have focus targets, but for dive bombs i usually count 5 seconds in between divebombs and run before i hear a beep or see a target above anyone's head because its off.
It's still possible to run when you hear the beep or see the target but you have to do it right away and even if you do you might still get unlucky
during divebomb phase, i will stay around e slope area while e rest of my party do e running routing
We cleaned t5 with our summoner playing on ps3, he just had to stay on another spot for dive, and we called twister on mumble cause of the lack of focus target.
My group has a few t5 kills in with a ps3 main tank and 2 pc players who use controller. His only real issue was that terrain features like the hill you pull from and the ditch you hide in during divebmombs created line of sight issues for him due to camera constraints. As a result during phases 4/5 he kinda faces twintania a little differently and when the first 2 hygieia/asclep spawn he chills at the top of the ditch until a few seconds before the second set of divebombs.
Honestly the only raid situation in which there were clear issues as a result of his using ps3 was turn 4 because soldiers/knights/bugs take a while to actually appear on his screen.
What I quickly learned to do as the solution to this was to never ever wait until I saw a mob visually show up on my screen. I'd always see mobs appear on my enemy list a good second or two before it actually dropped down. If I waited for the mob to visually appear before I did my first move to draw aggro, I'd usually be too late. Instead, I would cast a flash the instant I saw mobs appear on my enemy list, and by the time the mobs actually appeared, the flash had already hit and I was already dropping a CoS to solidify aggro. Never had a problem once I got that rhythm down, despite this issue.
What SSD would be good for PS3 that can also be build into the PS4 later?
