The only issue is that, since you didn't take advantage of the free transfer, your character will be on the same JP server you were on in 1.0. My 1.0 character is sitting pretty in Hyperion.
I am not sure if this is still an issue (it was in beta), but I had to log into my Legacy character at least once before being able to post with it.
Something changed where I had to repick my class (I started as a crafter, which is no longer possible) and re-confirm her to use.
