I understand why they did what they did, but I'll admit I'm a little annoyed by it.

I had multiple level 50 classes on my 1.0 account and then had to take a substantial break from the game for financial reasons. If I had been able to carry over some of that, even if it had to be adjusted to accommodate the new game, then I would be able to participate in the forums. I would also be able to craft and gather, which was what I enjoyed in 1.0. Since I came back last night, I can't do either. I know, it doesn't take long to get to level 10 to be able to do what I want to do, but losing my old character, my posting priviledges and not being able to play for 24 hours is a quite a bit of annoying all at one time.
