And get the group banned for griefing since it's not df and you know server and names. sounds legit.

Well, that looks dangerous for pick up partys. But... That is surely an abuse of the system, so I suppose will have a punishment.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure people will do this. They may get reported but, I haven't known anyone to get any lengthy punishment for anything like this. My server still has many trolls that grief people. They are well known and people avoid them, but it's not like anything happens to deter them from playing. Do GM's even play this game? :P

you can only initiate a Vote Kick every 4 hours, which means less abuse. If you abuse it (like kicking a person for being new) you can and likely WILL be reported (as it will probably show a Yes or No vote on the screen not just a number).

They will likely TRACK Vote Kicks, and the reasons you're selecting to kick someone. If you abuse it, you may find yourself locked out of initiating, all the way to an actual temporary or permanent ban of your account from play.

Also, a person KICKED from a party doesn't suffer the Penalty of the 30 minute timer. They can queue up right away.

It will be incredibly easy for a snapshot of your instance to be sent to the GM department when a vote kick goes through, and investigated for harassment. It only needs a cursory glance by a GM to see whether or not a player was in the wrong.

Yes, i did. And they're right. There are ways that we can get people banned for improper use of the vote kick.

All i was pointing out was that the system has a built in method, that when coupled with a player report, can result in action. Hell, it can happen even if the player who got booted doesn't make the report, Since the system will have made the report anyways.
