RMT Deleting characters before blist add?

Would it be more effective for us and maybe even SE to go after the websites listed in the tells? Technically it is unsolicited messages, and the frequency at which we receive them from the same account within a short time frame could be harassment? They can make new accounts faster then SE can ban them, but what about hitting them outside the game where different rules apply.

What they do is group and que for a dungeon, when the commence window pops up they spam their rmt tells, then immediately click commence and que into the dungeon. They just alt f4 while they are in there and log on some other characters and do it again.

Just make a macro

/blist add <r>

Put it on your hot bar and press it instantly when you get tells, they can't commence that fast.

Those different rules would be in china where they don't care if they are harassing people outside their country.
so that would be pointless.

Yep, never had a problem blacklisting any spammer using this macro. No escape!

You can't blacklist if the character is logged off I think so most likely they are sending mass-tells then logging off immediately.

Actually, what Acyd said could also be possible. In Gridania, I see a group of 8 RMT enter an instance and come back 30secs-1 min later constantly. I sat watching them for an hour one day while bored and this was non-stop.

I'll second that. SE are not enforcing this at all. Drives me insane since I actually farm everything I need to craft and see these assholes every single time.

Teleport into a main city or area where people do lots of fates, you will get messages from djfdkj fjdklajf almost before the screen loads up.

Most of the time.
It's something I noticed a while back. They hit you when you instance and they hit you when you craft. In places you would not be able to simply blist or ignore them. It's why I have a default channel with no tells. The macro spam seems to react to what I am doing in game.
