RMT Deleting characters before blist add?

Has anyone else seen this recently ? It appears RMT have either found a way to send tells cross world or have some how found a way to shield themselves from blist options. Yesterday I received several RMT tells and immediately following the tell went to blist the character using right click send tell and change from /tell to /blist add "character name" could not have been 30 seconds and I got a message the character could not be found. A few minutes later same character another tell, SE really needs to fix this as I am now resorting to turning tells off almost completely even while playing just to avoid the RMT spam.

They enter an instance right away to avoid the blist. They come back after a min or so.

You can't blacklist if the character is logged off I think so most likely they are sending mass-tells then logging off immediately.

Actually, what Acyd said could also be possible. In Gridania, I see a group of 8 RMT enter an instance and come back 30secs-1 min later constantly. I sat watching them for an hour one day while bored and this was non-stop.

I blacklisted 3 of them last night and didn't have the issue you had.
Best command to blist without checking their name is /blist add <r>
<r> is command to get name of last /tell to you

They logged off, then logged back on.

You can't blist if they're not logged on.

I'm not surprised at this, what with many people actually replying to these tells with such gems as, "Enjoy your GM report." Destroys the whole anonymity and, most importantly, out-of-nowhere-ness of a GM report. Can't ban what's not there anymore.

Having a macro for this helps, I catch them the moment the text loads on my screen, no escape for those rmt's

I imagine most just blist and dont bother with the GM reports anymore.

There are no GM in ffxiv I and several others reported 3 guys on my server that had their character bot for 5 days straight their chocobo ranking and now they show off their chocobo in revenant toll with white mage barding. Reporting is bullshit cause there are no GMs.

What is the actual utility of this from the gil seller perspective, people who block them aren't interested customers anyway.
