"YoshiP is saying it was set this way so players don’t buy out all the lands right away and end up in situation where none is available. RMT estimated gil has been removed from their amount, they checked how much gil the FC’s have and got the estimates."

"With battle alone you should be able to earn 15000-18000, little bit over 20000 gil with role bonus every day. If you farm 7 days that’s good amount X number of members. It’s set so players can buy in 3 month time."

"He says again he will look at situation and make adjustments. The information posted on the patch notes it the highest amount and most likely not much people will buy, he wants people to use this as example to have players talk over how to gain the gil to purchase."

After such a horrible explanation the Japanese feed exploded. It was quite the waste of time (especially listening to 1 hour of them reading PvP abilities word for word.) (^_^)

im not interested in this housing anymore, i was looking forward first but the ridiculous prices make it a goal that cannot be reached for me , great job SE making a feature that only a small percentage of subscription paying customers will ever get to see

20,000g per day. So an FC with 10 members will make 200k a day, the cheapest house on Durandal is 40,000,000 . 40,000,000 / 200,000 = 200 days to obtain the smallest house. 30 days (roughly) in a month, 200/30 = over 6 months to obtain the cheapest house on Durandal.

20,000 per day, the most expensive house is 645,000,000, so it'll only take 32,250 days for that FC to obtain that, or with 100 members, 3,250 days, or with 1,000, a year.

In this day and age to not have new instances of housing areas open up by an automated script, but rather by devs doing that manually, is mind boggling to me, ever since they revealed that it's how they'll deal with the demand for new land, way, way back. Just.... Seriously?

Basically what they're saying is, how I see it, their housing servers can't, at the moment, handle a large amount of instances - thus the outrageous prices(?) which vary server to server even though it's the same game feature for everyone. Gee... I should have just started ARR on a new server with my 1.0 char, instead of opting to stay on my mother server with friends then.... Suddenly I'm being punished for working hard to get the gil in 1.0 hoping back then that one day we might get FC and personal housing in ARR. Different server prices.... I just can't with it -___-

312,000,000/20,000 is still 15,600 days farming. I call shenanigans, this is still absolute BS. Hell, even the entry level house on Excalibur would take 2000 days farming, and by that reasoning, if everyone in my Free Company (about 35 ppl) farmed 7 days a week, that would still be 446 or 57 days. I'm sure my wife would totally understand this.
