Craft 100% HQ 2Star with 1 set of gears

Combed entire forums and tested the macros and gear setups.
This is the results...

1 set of gears for all crafts
80 DUR 2Star 100% HQ
40 DUR 2Star High HQ

Only 2x IV materia used (one is optional).
Macros to copy into your game and logic behind them.

Looks good, though I'm not sure that 80 dura macro would be 100% with 340 control, as advised. (Though it would certainly be close)

E.g. If your first touch was on a poor condition and the rest on normal.

Actually, you can hit caps for 80 durability items (which is all you really want) without a single IV materia. The dodore doublet is also confirmed to be much better than the patrician's coatee since it has the same caps but has 3 slots instead of 2. I chose to just use HQ Bouillabaise (+43CP) which I can make myself consistently to save the trouble of overmelding more CPs. I think the macro overshoots the quality requirements enough to cover the 50 quality loss in case the first touch is on Poor but I haven't done enough testing to confirm.

One question does this work with all mats NQ?

I can confirm it works for 100% HQ the 80 durability items with all mats NQ. Not sure about the 40 durability as I usually just NQ those as mats for the 80 durability.

theres alot of hasty touches in the macro's, and i dont think you can get those above 80%(steady hands2)
if all those can fail and its still 100% then why use them at all?, so although it may be close to 100%, i dont see how it could actually be 100%, havent done any math on it though
or is it possible to stack steady hands or something?

Don, you're looking at the 40 durability macro which has been stated to give you a chance at high HQ. The 80 durability does not use Hasty Touch and you should be able to 100% HQ on it with the macro. Steady Hands do not stack.
