I think I would take the loss of 16 piety and 15 Spell Speed to get that delicious +21 Crit. Even with the Morale the Crit probably makes up for it. Thoughts?

Materia effects are active during PVP only though - seems like a waste to me if you don't do PVP (・_・; )

Also if you don't do PVP period you aren't really going to obtain them (I personally don't like PVP) so I guess I'm sticking to Spruce Pattens for now

ilvl trumps all, since it is tied to VIT/MND. You shouldn't be seriously considering Spruce Pattens over i80 or i90 gear unless you just don't have them.

Agreeing that Direwolf could be new SCH BiS feet. Having only the crit and no other secondary stats is not a huge deal, not like Allagan or Argute feet were that enticing with their secondaries.

Funnily enough I did that more than a few times in WoW on my Warlock just because of ilvl requirements. Was easier to get PvP/AH gear than waiting for dungeon drops and tokens from the previous tier. Still did fairly well as DPS.

I actually think the same could be said for the Direwolf Robe of Healing. Let's take a look:

Argute, Allagan and Direwolf all have 29 VIT and MND. Here are the differences;

Allagan: 26 PIE 17 DET
Argute: 26 PIE 24 CRIT
Direwolf: 34 CRIT 37 MORALE

I'll start by saying that the benefit of Allagan and Direwolf is that you can use them on both of your healing classes, if you have both leveled; if you're using one of these for that purpose alone Allagan would be the better choice, as the PIE is useful to a WHM.

As for SCH BiS it comes down to a choice between 26 PIE or 10 CRIT.

If you find your MP is fine on your SCH then you might want to consider getting your PvP Rank up.

Edit; You can also Dye Direwolf body, unlike Allagan and Argute, so the choice is obvious to me. Haha.
