The misconception of Housing prices!

SE wants and expected free companies to be huge. That's why they allow over 500+ members, while linkshells were meant to be for our smaller social groups, close friends, coil statics, etc.

If 500 members donated only 100k each, that's 50mil right there, while some of the richer players could donate more if they wanted. Housing doesn't seem so bad if this was the case.

I am just playing devil's advocate here, though, as my own FC has only 45members(including alts/mules). I'm just trying to apply some kind of logic to the housing prices, and looking at it this way, it seems to make a little more sense!

I honestly would never, ever, donate a substantial amount of gil to a group not comprised of close friends, knowing that that massive group, if one of them is RMT'ing, would nullify that whole housing investment if they were busted.

That might be their logic, but it would be incredibly flawed.

I had a feeling the prices are this high because SE wants FC to become large. Unfortunately the only content they have right now is 8 man this includes crystal tower since you can only queue with 8 players. I guess SE finally gave us a reason to join a large FC.

I have no desire to merge into a larger FC and put up with the issues that goes along with it.

I'm not gonna be in some glorified chat room and give some random guy a bunch of my gil just cause I want to be able to decorate a house.

If there was 500, even 100 people in every FC it would make sense. However, that isn't necessarily the case for a lot of people which raises an eyebrow.

i think they want to ban everyone for RMT. thats they only way i see anyone buying a FC home. legacy player lost 90% of our gil and they made prices higher on our server.
there crazy if they think people are gonna pool more then 10k into a FC that could go under at any moment.

SE wants large free company they need to make it where they are not screwed over for having more then 12 people.

It is a hellish nightmare to run a 50 person guild with the crap content design now... 500 would be literally impossible to manage in anyways. Would be a literal free for all.

And you can't even preform an alliance before queueing into CT yet so yeah it might as well be 8 man content as well.

My FC was originally pushing the idea of recruiting under the belief that CT would require a full group of 24. Needless to say we stopped caring about recruiting when we found out it was 'queue in party of 8'.
