Launcher error, cant start

Hello,

I have recently tried to log into ffXIV having been able to play fine previously to be greeted with this error reading "A system error has occurred: -2146697208". My launcher will just go black upon me opening it and after a few seconds this will appear.

Any ideas anyone?

guessing this is from the whole frickin day dec 16-17 update. as i recall i paid to play for 30 days..not 29.

And when you started playing the game, you agreed to a EULA which says they can take the game down as often as they want, for as long as they want.
