Cure III is really good on Garuda Extreme at least. Ranged and healers need to stack up during the majority of the fight anyway (due to lack of room) and Cure III heals near enough back up to full from getting hit by Friction.

I've given myself the appropriate time to try and adjust, but i've come to the conclusion that i very much dislike the change. Medica 2 feels so gimped compared to how it used to be. Literally the only thing i can see it being better for is PVP.

I gotta agree that it is making me using Medica I more, when before the change I never had to use it after I got Medica II.
It's alright. It is weaker burst healing but workable.
I'm glad I'm on Piety build!![]()

Medica 2 is more of a utility now IMHO:
In 2.0, scholar have the skills to mitigate predictable big damage (Aetheric Profusion, Geocrush etc), there's not much movement intensive encounters.
Now in 2.1, based on my experience with Ultima HM, this fight is extremely movement intensive for certain phases, and the tank is still getting smacked around while you're moving, Scholars' answer to this is Lustrate, as for WHMs', the answer IMHO, lies in precasting Medica 2, and Regen on whoever gets hit for 200 potency per 3 second (150+50).
As I said above, I only have experience with Ultima HM only, haven't try/watch videos of Garuda EM (gonna go in fresh!! :P), but if new encounters are more movement heavy compared to 2.0, I believe the use of Medica II will be as a utility to "mitigate" predictable movement heavy phases, just as how Sacred Soil and Succor is used to mitigate single big heavy damage.

I am having Medica II up at all times now but to be honest, I really don't think it made a difference during Ultima HM. The problem is the regen is just not enough to offset all the incoming damage and make an actual difference. You will have to DS it every time to really see a difference imo.

Exactly, so for those predictable heavy movement phase, pop DS and Medica II for it.I am having Medica II up at all times now but to be honest, I really don't think it made a difference during Ultima HM. Additionally, by itself the Medica II regen is miniscule, but what my main point is, for heavy movement phases like Ultima HM lasers, its already a hassle to find time to cast Cure spells on the tank, let alone on a DPS, so if any DPS gets hit, you can pop our only instant cast healing spell - Regen on him, and since he's enjoying the benefits of both Medica II and Regen, he/she will recover hp faster, thus the time frame where he can't make another mistake is shortened by 33% (150 potency increase to 200 potency).
