No trust issues with my FC, I have known em for 1-2 years and they are the best people I have met in game so I don't worry about this kind of thing.

If you are worrying about this you can't trust your FC that much, all you can do is try to find out what you can and decide whether you feel you can trust them enough to lay down some gil.

Wow, this is food for thought. I'm assuming if more this happens and a certain amount of people comllain then theres a possibility the FC leader can be banned. Though I don't think you'll get your money back

So you have to trust your FC leader and know them very well but if you want to be able to afford a house you need well over 100 members to all be trusting and able to contribute 1 million+ gil?

This. Also, if your FC leader demands you give him gil why would you want to stay with that FC in the first place?

HA! This is kid stuff. Try playing EVE online, trust is practically gold in that game and still you have Directors (Second in commands) and CEOs(leaders) back stabbing each other and ripping each other off by pilfering the guild coffers.

What happens if the leader decides he's had enough playing and just quit's without passing the FC on.

What would happen if the leader gets banned rightly or wrongly.

There needs to be some safe guards for the member and not just have the FC leader dictating thing's
There are no safeguards. Such is the cost of pledging your money and loyalty to another.

It's basically a case of quid pro quo, you will have to find a FC leader with a good reputation in the community. Just ask around these things tend to spread by word of mouth.

If you donate money to FC housing for your guild, it's gone. You could get kicked tomorrow and get nothing in return. When you donate money, that's what you are doing, Giving it away.

Definition of Donate: give (money or goods) for a good cause, for example to a charity.

If you are in good standing when you donate it, then that's that, it's gone.

About the only way a GM would even do anything is if you agree to donate for an FC house and the GM spends it all on Vanya Gear for 4 of his alts.

and that is why i am in an FC with 10 members, an open FC chest and no worry about anything. several thousand in gil and tons of crystals sit and my FC chest and people still ask me if they can have something from it. So we wait a few months to get a house.... just means we earned it

How I see the new abilities:
Asylum - Get ready for my holy spam because that's the only healing you gonna get.
Aero III - I guess I should put some dots up before holy spamming.
Assize - I need more MP to spam holy even more, also stop getting hit in the face.
Tetragrammaton - I guess I should heal that tank now.
Stone III - There's less than 3 mobs left alive. - Ragns Meuhie

    This!

@OP: it's YOUR choice if you give your FC some gil, stop looking for someone to compensate you if you make a bad decision.

False sense of security: you have no way of knowing if the others in the FC are able to secure their PCs and not get their account stolen. If they do and the thief empties your FC chest it's very unlikely SE will compensate you, they haven't in the past.
