Hey all I need help

Hello I am looking for help I'm new to the game but I love it. It is just that sometimes I don't understand certain things like battle strategy and there are many other things I should no about the game aswell but I just don't... So I'm looking for someone who can help me. Thanks.

You'll join a grand company when it requires you to do so during the main storyline. Which one you pick doesn't really matter.

If you mean a Free Company, if one is advertising themselves as newbie friendly, by all means join them.

I would suggest looking at the Odin forums. World forums are always filled with recruiting threads. As mentioned above, find a newcomer-friendly guild by shouting your intentions in a city. It's best to focus on your main job first (as well as the main storyline, which gives you world travel, mounts, companion, etc), but if you find you don't care for it much, look at the other guilds in your city and talk to the receptionist to try out other classes (after your level 10 ACN quest).

Personally, my crafting classes are starting to outlevel my main WHM, and I found my Free Company by shouting "looking for flax gathering party, not a drug reference!"

Only thing the Grand company determines is where you'll be going for a few quests, etc, and after a while what armor you (can) get, and a minion. You can always change if you like, the first change is free, the second costs 50,000 gil.

Thanks alot I can see myself asking a lotof questions lol.. Another thing that I would ask is I'm having trouble with some of the abbreviations is there some sort of dictionary I can look at for reference??

man.. I just google the term there are so many. I was overwheled when I started.

Dont even get me started on Pug Groups and Pug ( the class ) couldnt figoure out why people hated pugs so much.. its a class in the game! ( or is it! )

Welcome to Eorzea Tuffty! Don't worry, we were all newbies at one stage so we all had to start somewhere. The first part of the game is structured to be more or less a tutorial for you so don't be too worried about not understanding, as you've already taken the first step by not being afraid to ask for help!
