Two Sides to every coin! (FC Housing)

Hey guys, I'm right there with you in being hurt about the prices of Legacy Free Company housing. I am co-leader of a very small FC and the other leader and I had worked very hard to come up with the Gil to buy our Housing; Only to find out that our time was wasted pointlessly.

However what most people are seeming to leave out is the fact that there is more then just housing being added with 2.1. We are getting daily quests, DF roulette and more! This adds more ways to make gil then just selling things on the markets (even though I know Balmungs economy has tanked). No one will be getting a FC house right off the bat, everyone has to rank up first before they can buy a plot.

I don't want this to add more fuel to the fire, but just take a step back and let 2.1 come around before getting so up in arms over the matter. I choose to believe there is some solid reasoning behind their choice, even if I don't like it.

I'm torn between amusement and perplexity with regards to the number of folks on these boards who now hail housing as much-welcome 'hardcore' content.

I am one of the advocates for very difficult, time consuming, elite content.

But even I know HOUSING should not be hardcore content.

More than 50% of FC's should have housing this patch.
We're on track for about 2% of all FC's getting housing.

(Yes getting hundreds of millions of gil is borderline hardcore in how much time is necessary)

They could get some very rare or hard to get by furniture, decoration or trophies to show off. Maybe even a relic quest that is actually challenging.

Unless those new ways to make gil literally change the weather to Gilstorm or some shit, where gil rains down from the heavens in a torrent, directly into your coinpurse, I don't think they're going to help you and your group gather the 20,000,000 gil to buy some dilapidated shanty in the ghetto much faster.
