The most beautiful man to grace the Final Fanty, attractive and goodlooking girls please send me a message in game. Must be attractive and goodlooking. Thanks.
Yes, WHM is now completely useless, I can't even image parting with one right now, it's even worse than 2.0 WAR OMG. I hope I don't get WHM for CT cuz I'm totallly dumping down the party then.just now superior at everything. What can WHM bring to the table SCH can't? Traited Stoneskin and Protect? Just invite one, have them buff your party then kick them GG
2.0 had really good synergy between the 2. Now? WHM should consider switching over and learn to play SCH efficiently because there is nothing we can do besides bring people down this patch. They should have left Medica 2 alone.
For those who don't get it, this is sarcasm.
Whatever group you run with is obviously not about efficiency, it's ok I know some people like to just make things harder for themselves for no reason at all

Ok, just to put things in perspective again: Yes the changes suck and I think they aren't going to work out like they imagined and the balance between SCH and WHM has been badly put out of balance but WHMs will still be used and are still a very viable healer to play.
This thread is extraordinary. I think the servers may be up now (or will be soon), but for the majority of this thread they weren't. It's astonishing the psychological impact patch notes have on ppls' minds. You're all arguing so focusedly but none of you have even got to try out the changes yet. It's like being given a menu for a restaurant you're about to enter, and you're all having a big argument about which meal is going to be "better". ;x
If you were previously a WHM and now want to play SCH as a result of these changes, that's your choice of course, but I'm just so surprised it took such small changes to compel you to do that. Say goodbye to your better stoneskin, fluid aura, sleep(!), spellspeed buff and aoe stun (which only lost a tiny bit of potency). (None of us also know what the animation changes are going to be like either)
What's kind of telling is that, apart from the Lustrate change (which I don't think it really needed -- and remember that a 25% Lustrate on a 3500 hp DPS is about 875 hp cured, depending on your gear, so it's just an instant cast Physick usually, or less, even. With the original 20% it was even less, and made it most efficient to use on a tank), SCH is pretty much the same as it was. Oh but no Thunder now, too. Anyway so if you were really going to lvl SCH because it's 'fun', why hadn't you already prior to all this?![]()
I personally think ppl will log in, play around a bit on their WHMs and realise it's not so bad and that nothing really has changed fundamentally, and will continue to keep playing WHM (but hide the fact that they made a fuss about it)
Lily: Are you afraid of my kiss?
Jack: I'm afraid you'll break my heart.
Lily: Then still your heart... You are dear to me as life itself.
Its not hard to apply the changes to the game mechanics we already know exist.
Sch was great before the patch.
BUT the fairy deciding to blow cd's, not being macroable, and occasionally being bugged with overwriting buffs, (selene) etc. were enough of a reason to not main sch. Sometimes she would blow wd before i could resteady her and also i didnt like that if i put her on steady too early it canceled the cast. Placing was a solution but if i was going to play a sch i wanted to be able to micro the pet.
Now i can macro the pet, assuming they don't mess up pet fixes, I'm hoping i can get the full use out of the fairy and have fun with it. Is that hard to understand?
I would still play both, but say goodbye to a long cast stoneskin that costs as much as cure 2? Yay shields. k. fluid aura?... i use it for fun. Sleep? lol. Pom that is on a 5 min cd? Hey, at least i will get the fairy mini haste when she crits. I will miss holy but i already do.
Now i have lustrate which is actually instant unlike benediction and not on a 5 min cd. However will i live with myself?
At least for me, i prefer a proactive healing playstyle. On my whm i time heals to land when damage lands, i use stoneskin. I use regen sparringly and watch my threat. But there is only so much i can do with a toolkit designed to react to something. Yes i can fill a health bar and big numbers are nice, but the sch toolkit is more varied. I mean, do whm really need 3 different aoe heals? Part of the issue is our spells overlap in use, but using more spells isn't the answer on a class that suffers from overhealing and poor mana management.

The medicka nerf isnt that big of a deal.
Groups will still run 1 of each healer to be optimal....
Selene would only ever use her magic speed buff on her own, never the other one and she never uses Silence on her own on Obey. So you could really just leave her on obey and use the melee speed buff when the magic one expired. It was extremely simple with her.
Eos you would just leave on steady and use WD whenever you thought you needed. With a WHM in the party I personally never needed to in HM primals so I would usually use Selene instead.

Your lack of faith in your job ( or expertise ?) has to be low to have you to flip the switch and hop on the bandwagon because they MODIFIED medica II ( they did not technically nerf it per say ). And holy well .. let's face it, it's not the end of the world, we're not pure DPS. I'd QQ a LOT more if I'd be a bard or a smn though. Some classes had it a lot more rough than we did.
